I dig the bi-weekly polls, but I've gotta take issue at the "Which Slice of Pie Are You Grabbing?"
You Americans and your obsession with pies only being sweet! The best pies are definitely the savoury ones. Chicken and ham. Steak and ale. Mushroom and asparagus. Mined beef and onion. Or even just the humble pork pie. As much as a sweet pie can be delightful, I'd take any of those savoury pies first.
Not to mention a particular favourite of mine, "butter pie", which contrary to its name is mostly made of potato and onions. It's an old and highly-local traditional dish of parts of the North-West of England, and it's surprisingly delicious.
Anyway: just wanted to say that you should try some savoury pies sometime; see what you're missing out on!

The garlic salsa recipe looks really interesting! Great touch with the photos. Rest of the site is great as well. Wonderfully old school, but never unwieldy.
